At our Planer Mill, we take rough-sawn Southern Yellow Pine 8x8 heavy timbers and transform them into smooth, finished timbers planed on all four sides.

The process starts by loading the rough 8x8s onto the package deck, which feeds them down to our planer operator. From there, each timber is guided onto the end-feed table, where it’s pulled steadily through the planer to create a clean, smooth surface.

Once planed, the timbers exit onto a conveyor that carries them to the stacker, where they are neatly bundled and banded, ready for the next step in production or shipment.

Watch the video below for an overview of the planing process.

Tongue and Groove

We also produce 2x6 and 2x8 Tongue and Groove, Centermatch, and EZ-V, commonly used in paneling, siding, and decorative wall applications.

We also offer tongue and groove milling services for customers who wish to bring their own lumber. Simply provide us with your properly dried and dimensioned wood, and we’ll machine it with precision.

Our milling process is carefully calibrated to provide the right amount of tolerance, allowing the boards to fit together smoothly without excessive force during installation. Throughout production, each plank is handled and monitored to ensure consistent quality so your material leaves our shop ready for a seamless install.

Treat and Complete

Precision milling is just the beginning. Once your tongue and groove boards or 8x8 timbers are cut to perfection, we can also treat them for durability and performance. By keeping everything under one roof, we maintain strict quality control every step of the way, delivering a finished product you can trust from start to install.
